Lisa Barnes is the founder of Petit Appetit, a culinary service devoted to the palates and health of infants and toddlers. She teaches parents how to provide fresh, healthy, organic foods to their children through private in-home cooking classes, mother’s groups cooking demonstrations, and parenting workshops throughout Northern California. She is the author of the iParenting Media Award winning books, The Petit Appetit Cookbook: Easy, Organic Recipes to Nurture Your Baby and Toddler and Petit Appetit: Eat Drink and Be Merry,Easy Organic Snacks, Beverages, and Party Foods for Kids of All Ages. Lisa has also written the recipes for the Williams-Sonoma cookbook, Cooking for Baby and also contributes her writings and recipes to various online parenting websites (iVillage, Mommy Track’d, Organic Picks) and regional mother’s group newsletters. She is on the board of directors of Leah’s Pantry, a nonprofit organization providing nutrition workshops to families, kids, and seniors living in transitional and affordable housing communities.

Lisa lives in Sausalito California with her husband, Lee, son, Jonas and daughter, Ellery.
